Description:
As of February 2021, the disruption and devastation of the COVID-19 Pandemic seems to be lessoning. Like every catastrophic event, whether it is war, terrorist act, natural disaster, pandemic, or weather-related — such as the Texas Deep Freeze in February 2021 — there are lessons learned for healthcare providers. How do we respond to the victims and hopefully save lives that otherwise would have been lost? Healthcare delivery changed after the major wars of the 20th century, after September 11, 2001, and after the many hurricanes in 2021 related to climate change. What will the lessons be after the COVID-19 pandemic?
Objectives:
Upon completion of the webinar, the participant will understand:
- We did not have to lose 500,000+ lives during this pandemic. Whether at the local, state, or federal level, we could have done things better.
- Sometimes the greatest opportunity for change and improvement is when times are bleakest.
