Rural hospitals, just like their urban and academic counterparts, require strong clinical, financial and operational leadership. In some of these locations, bear and elk can outnumber the people. There may not be a Costco, Starbucks or cardiac surgeon for 100 miles. Because of these and other unique challenges many executives may not choose to work in a rural or community setting.
In this webinar, we will provide an overview of critical access hospitals (CAHs) and rural healthcare in the U.S. We will discuss a process that allows an organization to showcase their position in the community, collaboration with the board and physicians, and how that impacts care provided.
