We provide mock surveys with one or two nurse surveyors to assess survey readiness with respect to regulatory standards including: Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) and State.

Under Medicare, rural hospitals with 100 or fewer licensed beds are eligible to participate in the swing bed program. This program allows a bed to be used for either acute care, or post-acute patients, who have been discharged from a medically necessary, three-day minimum acute stay and require skilled nursing care. Swing bed hospitals include both critical access hospitals (CAHs) and those paid under the Prospective Payment System (PPS).
