Our webinar will focus on strategies for growing your swing bed program volume.   We will discuss admission criteria and length of stay, as well as quality metrics to show the effectiveness of your Swing Bed program.  We will include strategies for marketing to internal customers including providers, and strategies for marketing to external customers.  And of course, strategies for marketing to your own community and patients.



  1. Identify at least three types of patients appropriate for Swing Bed.
  2. Describe at least one internal and one external marketing strategy to increase Swing Bed volume.

Did you know that as of July 27, 2018, there are 1,348 Critical Access Hospitals located throughout the United States?  The majority, although not all, offer a Swing Bed program.
