Healthcare organizations increasingly provide care and services for diverse populations. Many have cultural, language, socioeconomic or other barriers, including mental illness, which prevents them from effectively navigating an increasingly complex healthcare system. This webinar will focus on both identifying barriers for specific populations as well as discussing solutions that you can implement in your organization.

Objectives: Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Identify at least one barrier to health care experienced by an at-risk population
2. Identify at least one strategy for improving the healthcare of an at-risk population
3. Describe at least one strategy for improving health literacy

Interesting Fact:
National data indicate that more than one-third of U.S. adults have limited health literacy, which contributes to poor health outcomes and affects patient safety, and healthcare access.
